October 2017

We received confirmation from Todd Feezer that he moved forward with a Request for Qualifications to complete a location assessment, conceptual design, construction estimates, and phasing plan.
BikeNet raised a total of $10,500 and will be writing a check to the City to complete the above items.

February 2019

The City of Laramie moved forward with a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to complete a location assessment, conceptual design, construction estimates, and phasing plan.​ RFQs were due March 29th, 2019.

November 2019

The second Laramie Bike Park public input meeting was held on Wednesday, November 6th. The final presentation included concepts, recommended locations, phasing and probable costs. This was completed on Tuesday, December 10th at the City Council work session.

February 2020

The final report was published and you can find it here. According to the city, "No site has been selected. Right now we need to prioritize projects within City budgets so that we can begin planning. There is some possibility that the land near the Recreation Center may work out, but if we want to pursue the UW parcel we will need to discuss possibilities with their staff. We also need to talk to them about additional athletic fields so we need to do that as a first step. I would expect that we may begin discussions about priorities later this spring or in the summer."

December 2021

BikeNet President Richard Vercoe completed an Albany County Recreation Board grant application, as a partnership with the City of Laramie, to be able to hire a firm to complete a final bike park plan, cost estimates, and geotechnical report for the site adjacent to the Recreation Center and Laramie High School. We are hopeful to have the final report and cost estimates completed in the summer of 2022.
